MAN HANGS SELF AFTER ARGUMENT WITH GIRLFRIEND

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

A 27-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside his room after he had an argument with his girlfriend and her male friend. Family members told the cops that they suspect that their son hanged himself in front of the girl while she was inside his room, minutes before they found him hanging. The police said that the victim, identified as Dinendra Singh, lived with his parents and two siblings at their rented house in Outer Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area since the last two years. Family members said that they got to know about the incident when his father, Amarjit Singh, went to check on him inside his room. Amarjit told the cops that his son had gone to his room after having dinner. Soon, his girlfriend, whom all of them were familiar with, came to their house with another male friend and went to Dinendra’s room. After almost an hour, she stepped out of the room and told the boy’s father that Dinendra had been threatening her with suicide. She left the house soon thereafter. When Amarjit went to check on him after 15-20 minutes, he found his son hanging from the ceiling fan. He immediately raised an alarm and alerted other people, who then informed the cops. The police said that Dinendra was rushed to a private hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. The cops said that they have been questioning the girl and other family members to ascertain the reason for this extreme step.
