Party asks L-G Baijal to set aside AAP appointmen­ts over Shunglu report

Sharpening its attack on the Arvind Kejriwal government in the national capital over the findings of the Shunglu Committee, the BJP on Friday demanded CBI and CVC probes into illegal decisions of the AAP government as flagged by the panel in its report. The party also demanded lieutenant-governor Anil Baijal set aside all appointmen­ts of AAP functionar­ies in the Delhi government, made without the L-G’s approval.

Addressing a press conference at BJP national headquarte­rs, BJP Lok Sabha member from New Delhi Meenakshi Lekhi alleged that Mr Kejriwal looted public money to benefit AAP functionar­ies. between the BJP and Congress, while the AAP will be left in the third position after elections for 272 wards of the three municipal corporatio­ns on April 23,” said Mr Goel.

Ms Lekhi, flanked by Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Vijender Gupta, also charged the Kejriwal government with engaging in nepotism and corruption. “We demanded CBI and CVC probes into the Shunglu panel report which has flagged the AAPled Delhi government’s various illegal decisions, including appointmen­t of party functionar­ies, and allotment of land to the AAP for its office,” said Ms Lekhi.
