Actor Arjun Kapoor, who is in London shooting for his next film Mubarakan, attended a football match at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, where Chelsea F.C. recognised him and sent a person to interview him. After the interviewer introduced Arjun, he asked him about the kind of films he does, to which Arjun responded, “I have done all kinds of films and have had the opportunity to play various roles, ranging from a gangster to a college student. I have played twins too, I have worked with myself.” Talking about his love for football, Arjun said that he had once attended a Chelsea F.C. match with Abhishek Bachchan. On being asked if Indians like Chelsea, Arjun said, “We have seven channels dedicated to the premiership, and Chelsea is very loved.” Arjun also spoke about the Indian Super League, and how the participation of international football players can help the game in India.

However, Arjun’s comments did not go down well with twitterati and many trolled him for his answers.

Arnab Das, a Facebook user, wrote, “Arjun Kapoor is a fan of Chelsea Football Club!!! That’s the 1st great thing he has done in his whole life...

“What are you famous for? Lmao the question made everyone laugh. Chelsea in India is more famous that Arjun Kapoor or Abhishek . #KTBFFH, (sic).”

Many even pointed out that the Premier League is not called “premiership”. Gautam Tripathy commented, “He just keeps calling it the premiership .... i wonder what would have that interview guy been thinking about..(sic)”.

“It’s premier league bro, not premiership. Lol anyway thanks for supporting Blues. #KTBFFH,
