Sonakshi gets candid about her fondness for PeeCee

It is a well-known fact that Sonakshi Sinha is an ardent admirer of Priyanka Chopra and has often hailed her performances on the national and international front. The actress, who recently turned Priyanka Chopra for Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar when she grooved to the title track of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi in the Da Bangg tour, recently spoke about her Priyanka connection and why she looked up to the actress, “Priyanka and I are not text-buddies but whenever we meet there is a big fondness between us. I really look up to her in a lot of ways and she has always been nice to me, whenever we have met.” She added, “I think she is a very inspiring person, with the kind of work that she has done and the number of years that she has spent in the industry. It is not very easy for an actor to sustain so long,” she said.

She also spoke about why she considered Priyanka a woman achiever in her own right, “It is creditable the way she has not only conquered the Hindi film industry, but also made her mark in the West. She has followed her dreams in life and that is the hallmark of a strong woman. That’s what is really worth appreciating,” Sonakshi revealed. Incidentally, Sonakshi had recently made a telling remark about the demarcation between “female-centric” and “well-defined” roles, while talking about her role in her forthcoming film, Noor. She reiterated her point once again, “I would rather if someone asked me how I have started doing strong roles. I am happy doing great roles these days, and as an actor, it satisfies me to the next level,” she said.
