BJD MPs TAKE TO WRITING TO HIGHLIGHT WOES

Lok Sabha members of Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal have been writing newspaper editorials to highlight party woes.

After Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda, BJD MP from Cuttack and parliamentary party leader Bhartruhari Mahatab’s latest twopart editorial published in an Odia newspaper on Tuesday and Wednesday highlighted some of the problems, raising ugly heads in the party. Mr Mahatab, while citing that the BJP was chalking out plans to get more seats both in Parliament and Assembly, noted in his articles that the “aggression of the saffron party has ruffled the feathers of BJD which has now started to make retaliatory comments.” “This only reflects the weakness of the party,” the MP said in the article.
