3 drug peddlers arrested in Punjab

Moga, Punjab: Three drug peddlers were on Wednesday arrested with five kg of opium here, the police said. Acting on a tipoff, police intercepted a car and arrested Suresh Kumar, Bupinder Singh and Manohar who were travelling in the vehicle and seized the drug, they said. The police said the three accused operated in districts of Moga, Ferozepur and Jagraon in Punjab. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, they added.
