Making no bones about it

- DR NARAYANA REDDY

QI got married a month back. When I tried to enter my penis into the vagina, due to the stem or bone of my penis, it bent. Three years back I had an issue with my penis, I used to mastrubate by lying down on the floor and moving up and down, so due to the pressure, it got hurt. Can you please guide?

The condition of “Fracture Penis” occurs only when there is a blunt injury to the penis when it is erect. It’s incidence is very rare. Just because you can not penetrate the vagina and your penis bends, do not assume that you have fractured your penis. Realise that the human penis has no bones and the fracture can not occur in that sense. When I use the word ‘Fracture Penis’, I am referring to the rupture of ‘tunica albuginea’, a fibrous tissue which envelops the penile muscles. If you are not able to penetrate and your penis bends on attempts, it means that either your erection is not adequate or your coital technique is at faulty. You need to consult a doctor in person.

QI suffer from slow erection, which happens after a lot of self stimulation, followed by a quick ejection. The length and stiffness of my penis is also slowly decreasing. I am facing great mental agony. Please help.

When you were younger, sex was a novelty and hence your body used to respond instantly to the thought of sex or the sight of a woman. As you grow older, though sex becomes interesting, the novelty factor starts to disappear. Therefore, you need a physical stimulation. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and everyone goes through this. But you seem to have ‘Premature Ejaculation’. Consult a sexologist in person. The writer is a sexologist. Mail him at
