The iconic Nokia 3310 is making its way to a number of countries across the globe in the next two weeks, confirmed HMD Global, who now owns the rights to market Nokia brand.

The phone will hit shelves in the UK on May 24, in Germany on May 26, with Netherlands and Belgium following behind on June 6.

In the UK, the Nokia 3310 (2017) will go on sale at a price of 49.99 EUR, while it will cost 59.99 Pounds in other three European markets. The release date of Nokia 3310 for the Indian market is yet unknown.

At the time of its global announcement, the phone was expected to hit shelves in second quarter (MayJune) of 2017 worldwide. The speculations are proved to be true this time. On May 5, the firm began shipping of Nokia 3310 (2017) and within a week it announced the availability of the phone to various markets.

Earlier reports suggested HMD Global will release the Nokia 3310 in India by the end of June. However, it is yet to be confirmed by the firm itself. The reports also claimed the phone to cost less in India compared to other parts of the world as HMD Global confirmed to partner with Foxconn, an electronic manufacturing firm, to manufacture Nokia units in the country.

“We have disclosed the global average prices, but I expect them to be lower in India,” said HMD Global CEO Arto Nummela told an English Daily without disclosing the price rate that could be set for the Indian market.

To recall, the new Nokia 3310 is a feature phone. Unlike the smartphones, which are capable of supporting 3G/4G networks, it supports 2.5G connectivity and runs on S30+ operating system. The new Nokia 3310 features a 2.4-inch display screen, a 2MP rear camera and comes pre-installed with a new the modern version of the classic “Snake” game. HMD claims the coloured-screen phone has month long stand-by and can deliver 22 hours of talktime, ten times more than the original. The device will be available in four colour variants-Warm Red, Yellow, both with a gloss finish, and matte finished Dark Blue and Grey.
