LASER CAN HELP REMOVE SCARS

-

Q

I am a 27-year-old woman and have type-1 diabetes. I have a lot of accident scars and injury marks on my body. Is there any way I can get rid of them quickly, as I am planning to get married in the next six months?

— Bharati Devi K.

A:

If the scars are very small they can be removed with laser techniques, which are non-surgical. However, a few complications such as keloid and the hypertrophy of the scars are to be kept in mind.

Also, six months is enough time for healing of the scars.

Q

My 14-year-old grandson is allergic to food items, such as cereals, milk, wheat and nuts. Whenever he eats food which contain these products his stomach aches.

He is also, losing hair. Please suggest some remedy for food allergy and hair growth. — Anonymous

A:

Does your grandson also suffer from rashes and itching when he consumes cereals, milk, wheat and nuts or does he only experience bloating or diarrhoea? If he is suffering from frequent gastrointestinal symptoms, then we need to look into the possibility of malabsorption or celiac disease.

Please consult a gastroenterologist or physician at the earliest.
