Lalu to expose BJP, Centre halts mall construction
RJD chief Lalu Yadav on Friday said that “the BJP’s tactics to derail our efforts to form an alliance has been exposed.”
Mr Yadav, while talking to this newspaper at his residence, said that he has been successful in persuading several leaders of similar ideologies to participate in the mega rally on August 27.
“The rally has been organised to expose the failures of the BJP. I also want to send a message to their camp (RSS-BJP) that I will drag them out their ‘gaddi’ (throne), and I can say that the Modi government will not be able to complete the five-year-term of five years.”
Meanwhile, BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, who had earlier exposed Mr Lalu Yadav and his son’s alleged involvement in dubious land deals, said that the construction work of the mall owned by the Delight marketing company had started without the permission of the State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority.
He said that the Union Environment Ministry in a letter dated May 15 had issued a notice to the state government directing them to stop the construction work of the mall as it was violating environmental laws. “This is a clear violation of the law and since the department comes under the ministry of Tejaswi Yadav’s brother, complaints were not filed against him or the company,” BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said.
