Carried out surgical hit against CM: Kapil
‘AAP govt ignoring projects in my constituency’
Rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra on Tuesday told his constituents that he has carried out a “surgical strike” against chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership.
Notably, Mr Mishra has levelled a series of corruption allegations against AAP leaders since his ouster from Mr Kejriwal’s city cabinet in May.
The AAP government has also stalled development projects in Karawal Nagar constituency, the suspended party leader said in a letter to his constituents. He claimed that Karawal Nagar has performed better than New Delhi Assembly constituency in terms of utilisation of funds through mohalla sabhas.
He said that his constituency has been facing power outages and poor water supply ever since he took on Mr Kejriwal. He claimed that government officials have even been instructed to stall developmental projects in the area.
“People today come to me with proof of medicine scam. They are providing me with evidence against corruption in mohalla clinics, be it CNG kit or foreign tours, fake bills of PWD roads or corruption cases against Kejriwal-ji’s relatives,” Mr Mishra said, adding that he is fighting a lone battle against AAP.
Urging his voters to keep faith in him, he said he is putting up a fight against a “billionaire” like Satyendra Jain and an “influential personality” like Mr Kejriwal.
“How should I pull out of this battle? How should I break those expectations?” the rebel AAP leader said in his stirring message to the people of his constituency. He even told them that he is willing to contest elections against the AAP chief from the Karawal Nagar seat.
Mr Mishra further said that his open letter to the constituents will be distributed among every household in the Northeast Delhi area.
