BJP ‘vistaraks’ to strengthen party in capital

On the lines of the RSS “pracharaks”, Delhi BJP will form its team of “vistaraks” in the national capital to strengthen its ground. Nearly 3,000 vistaraks will cover 13,000 polling booths in the city and add 1.5 lakh new members to the party. The 15-day programme will start on June 23.

The BJP national general secretary, Arun Singh, camped for two days in the city in this regard, and held discussion­s with the state office bearers and party cadres.

“Our party president Amit Shah has already started meeting booth workers and the people. Now Delhi BJP workers will do the same during the 15-day programme,” added Mr Jaju. As per plan, the 3,000 vistaraks will be assigned a specific area comprising four polling booths. They will reach out to each household with the local unit enrolling 50 new members for the party.
