Second straight win for RSPB

New Delhi: Railway Sports Promotion Board notched up their second win on the trot as they beat Jharkhand 9-1 in a Pool A match of the 7th senior national men’s hockey championship A Division in Lucknow on Sunday. Manpreet, Karanpal Singh, Yuvraj Walmiki, Affan Yousuf, Gauravjeet Singh, Rajin Kandulna, Ajit Kumar Pandey and Amit Rohidas were the scorers for RSPB. In another Pool A game, Services Sports Control Board beat Namdhari XI 5-2. In Pool C matches, Punjab & Sind Bank defeated Odisha 41 while Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy edged past Patiala 2-1. Riding on Damanjit Singh’s brace, Chandigarh pipped Association of Indian Universities 2-1 in Pool D. Joginder Singh struck for AIU. Punjab defeated Bhopal 6-2 in a Pool B encounter while Air India Sports Promotion Board beat Haryana 2-1 in Pool D.
