Port of Spain, June 25: Hosts West Indies won the toss and asked India to bat in the second of the fivematch ODI series here on Sunday.

After rain and inclement weather reduced the match to being a 43-over-aside affair, Indian openers got off to a sound start raising 114 runs for the opening wicket in 18.2 overs. Southpaw Shikahar Dhawan carried his rich vein of form scoring 63 off 59 balls with 10 hits to the fence. Dhawan’s entertaini­ng knock ended when offspinner Ashley Nurse got him stumped. At the other end, Ajinkya Rahane was content playing the role of second fiddle and helped himself to a well-constructe­d half-century. For the hosts’, Alzarri Joseph was expensive as he gave away 35 runs from four overs while captain Jason Holder fared little better conceding 29 runs off his four overs.
