Diarrhoea kills teen in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: Suspected diarrhoea claimed life of a 19year-old youth in Hargovind Nagar locality here, officials said on Tuesday. More than 400 residents have been affected by diarrhoea in Makkar and Indira colony, officials added. District epidemiologist Dr Ramesh Bhagat said 35 new cases of the disease were brought to the special medical camp setup in the Giaspura locality on Tuesday. He said Ajay Kumar died of suspected diarrhoea in Hargovind Nagar loaclity which is adjacent to Giaspura. During the last four days, 352 cases of diarrhoea were reported in the camp, he said. The health department claimed that situation was under control.
