Woman arrested for stealing cash, iPhone

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly honey-trapping a man and stealing his valuables.

The police said that a resident of Mansarover Garden filed a complaint against an unidentified woman alleging that the accused stole `12,000, an iPhone and a scooter from his house

The complainant told the police that he had chanced upon the woman and was impressed by her free and frank manner of conversation. He had offered her to spend the night with him at his house, to which she agreed, said the officer.

After reaching his house, they consumed alcohol and he lost consciousness, the complainant told the police. When he woke up in the morning, he found the cash and the other valuables missing.

On June 23, he filed a complaint against the woman at the Kirti Nagar police station.

Subsequently, the location of the iPhone was traced to Raghubir Nagar. The CCTV footage also showed visuals of a woman with a short hair wearing a Tshirt and a pair jeans. The image of the woman matched the description of the accused as provided by the complainant.
