RVP packs a punch!

Robin van Persie is known for his explosive shot off either foot and it appears he’s not too bad with his hands either.

The Dutch striker took to Instagram on Monday afternoon to share a video of himself working out in a boxing ring.

Accompanied with the caption: ‘Getting ready for the new season,’the upload shows van Persie being put through his paces on the pads.

Van Persie will be hoping he packs a punch next season — wherever he is, with his future uncertain at present.

The 33-year-old has one year left on his Fenerbahce contract but has been linked with a move away from Turkey, with former club Feyenoord among the reported admirers.

Speaking about his future recently, the forward admitted he was unsure of where he would be playing his football.

“I do not know where my future lies,” the former Manchester United and Arsenal star told De Telegraaf.

“We must see in the upcoming weeks. I have a contract and we look at it from that basis. As it looks now, I’ll return to Fener next month.

“You never know in football, things can change quickly. The future is still open.”

Van Persie scored nine goals in 24 Super Lig appearances for Fenerbahce in 2016-17 as they finished third — 14 points behind bitter rivals Besiktas.
