WOMAN FALLS OFF 4TH-FLOOR FLAT, DIES

A 28-year-old woman died after she allegedly fell off her fourth-floor apartment in an inebriated condition in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka. The police said that the woman and her brother had hosted a party along with her boyfriend. After having a few drinks, the woman had an argument with her boyfriend and went to the balcony to cool off. After her friends left, she started throwing up. Her brother and a friend who were present cleaned her and made her lie down in a room. The incident was reported around midnight when Rani was found in a pool of blood at the courtyard of the apartment by a security guard. The family members were alerted after which she was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. Family members have told the cops that she was drinking with her brother, brotherin-law, sister and boyfriend. She had a minor argument with her boyfriend after which she went to the balcony to cool off while the others partied till late. The family members took her to the bedroom and asked her to sleep but the woman insisted that she stayed at the balcony. The police suspect that she had probably tipped over the railing accidental­ly while throwing up. The body was sent for an autopsy.
