Tattle tales of the toddle!

Celeb parents prefer to share pictures of their babies themselves than to get hassled by fake ones or crazy paparazzi...

- NEHA GHOSH

The current trend ruling the celebrity circuit is about the whole hullabaloo of celebrity couples and their newborn babies! Everyone including the paparazzi have their eyes and ears pinned for a glimpse of how these famous babies of their famous papas and mamas look. Some celebs are okay sharing pictures of their little ones on social media, but some are not. Most recently, George and Amal Clooney were outraged when the media clicked pictures of their twins without an OK from the celebrity couple. They were vacationing in Italy when pictures of their cute bundles were taken by local paparazzi.

There are some celebrities in Bollywood who willingly share beautiful pictures of their munchkins. Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor are some of the Indian celebrities who have been more than happy to share pictures instead of seeing the media go into a frenzy for first shots. Actress Genelia D’Souza took to her social media account to share an adorable photo of her second son, in an attempt to put all speculations to rest.

Actress Sumalatha Ambareesh speaks on this trend, “The most important thing is whether you are comfortable or not about sharing pictures of your baby. Celebrities can’t escape the channels the social media. There has been cases where fake pictures of the babies have been circulated online. If the media is clicking pictures of celebrities with their babies, it somehow stops unwanted interference. Whether you like it or not it stops unethical prints of pictures without consent.” Which is probably better in the long run for both baby and parent.

She further adds, “Personally, I would not be happy if it happened to me but there is nothing one can do. We are always in the limelight and our kids become a part of that glamorous life. So, you have to accept it and go with the flow. In Hollywood, the paparazzi is violent and privacy is not respected. If the picture is anyway going to get out on social media, one can themselves stop this unhealthy curiosity. But, some celebrities share adorable pictures of their baby online as this somehow prevents pictures from getting leaked online.”
