Victims from Meerut were promised job in Udyog Bhavan

The Delhi police is on the lookout for three conmen who allegedly duped three job aspirants from Meerut on the pretext of giving them jobs of LDC (lower division clerk) in Udyog Bhavan.

The victims are cousins and were allegedly taken inside the Udyog Bhavan for a “job interview”. The recruitment process went all the way till the time that appointment letters and their names and roll numbers were shown on what was claimed to be the SSC website. The accused had taken `1 lakh from

each one of them for a back door appointment to the LDC post.

On August 4, the cops registered a case against the three accused two of them posing as Udyog Bhavan employees and one other person.

One of the accused posing as a peon contacted one of the aspirants, Dinesh Kumar, for a job in Udyog Bhavan. Dinesh passed on the information to his cousin Sunil, who in turn told Rahul about the bargain.

“We have completed Class 12 and were looking for a job when Dinesh told me that he knew a man, Rajvir, who could get us jobs for `4 lakh for an LDC post available in Udyog Bhavan. All we had to do was to fill a fake OMR sheet and meet a couple of staff members who were part of the deal,” said the complainant, Sunil.

Some days later, the men were told to hand over their documents with `50,000 each. Three days later, they received an interview call

When we appeared for the interview, we were introduced to Shrikant, who posed as UDC, and Ajay, a peon. The entire recruitment process was followed and the accused even offered to show them their roll numbers on the “SSC website”. One of the accused opened a link on his mobile which showed their details correctly. However, when the victims insisted on showing the same on their mobile, Shrikant told them to talk to Rajvir again.

“Rajvir told us that he would get back to us in a couple of days. But from the next day, his phone was switched off,” said Sunil.

The accused even showed them their names and roll numbers on what was claimed to be the SSC website
