Designer turned director Vikram Phadnis is delighted to take his Marathi film Hrudayantar to Indian Film Festival in Melbourne and he says he is hoping his close friend Aishwraya Rai Bachchan will get some to time to watch his film.

Aishwarya will be a special guest at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2017.

“Aishwarya hasn’t seen the film yet and I am hoping she will watch my film. I just hope she has the time to see the film,” Vikram Phadnis said.

The designer who invited Aishwarya for the music launch of his film says her review matters a lot to him.

He says, “Her review matters a lot to me. We have grown up together, she knows cinema inside out and her opinion does matter a lot to me. I just hope she likes this film.”

His first venture, the Marathi film Hrudayantar, is the official selection at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017 (IFFM), which is being held between August 10 to 22. The maker also has plans to cast Aishwarya in his next, which he is currently reworking. He says, “Yes, I will be re working on my script for which I would like to have Aishwarya. I will start my film soon. It’s too early to reveal anything at this point of time.” Hrudayantar is an emotional screenplay of how a couple, who’s going through a marital crisis, set aside their differences to brave their 10-yearold daughter’s tryst with a lifethreatening disease.
