DPCC app to help women in distress

The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), women’s wing, is planning to launch a mobile app to reach out to women in distress across the national capital.

Sai Anamika, the state chief of the women’s wing said that the objective of introducing the app, which will be named Aparajita, is to provide immediate help to the women in distress.

“The app will contain the entire data of the women workers and volunteers working for the Delhi Congress,” she said.

This apart, data will also be taken ward-wise and from all the Assembly as well as parliamentary constituencies.

“Any helpless victim can contact our workers. Once we receive any complaint, we will immediately swing into action and contact the authority concerned, she added.

Anamika said that if the helpless victim/s are not willing to directly contact the volunteer then they only have to upload their grievances on he app and once done with it, the authority concerned will be informed.

The app will also seek to promote the schemes launched by the former Congress government. It will be updated daily with the latest news of Congress and its various schemes.

“We will also expose the failures of the Narendra Modi government policies through this app,” she said.

“This app will become a helping hand to the helpless women and a ‘secret’ weapon for the party leaders and workers,” said Anamika.

The Congress party will also launch a recruitment campaign in a bid to enlist as many as one lakh new women members by the end of December this year through the app, Anamika said.

Apart from planning to publish a directory of women workers, Anamika, who recently became the chief of women’s wing, has conducted a number of booth level programme in a bid to strengthen the party.
