His brother-in-law and his associates allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old man to death in broad daylight over a property dispute in Mangolpuri area, Rohini, on Monday. The assailants before murdering the deceased had blinded him by throwing chilli powder in his eyes and then stabbed him, repeatedly.

However, in a swift action, the police arrested the main accused within some hours after the crime. The police has identified the deceased as Ravi, while the arrested brother-in-law has been identified as Roshan.

Preliminary probe reveals that Ravi, a resident of Mangolpuri, wasn't on good terms with his brother-in-law. The two always used to quarrel over a piece of property, leading to bad blood between the duo.

involved in a scuffle and fought over the property issue for two days ago. On Monday morning, Roshan along with his aides allegedly waylaid Ravi who was in the market, first threw chilli powder on his face and eyes. They later grabbed a knife from a nearby meat shop and allegedly stabbed Ravi repeatedly.

As per eyewitness account, the assailants came from behind and first picked-up a quarrel with the deceased. They then suddenly threw chilli powder on his face and in his eyes. Before the deceased understood anything, Roshan grabbed a knife and stabbed Ravi.

After being informed, the police rushed to the spot and arrested Roshan from the area. The police rushed the body to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital to conduct a post mortem. Probe suggests Ravi died due to loss of blood as after attacking him, the assailants had fled the spot abandoning him on the road bleeding.

The Mangolpuri police based on the inputs is interrogating Roshan. A case of murder has been lodged in the local police station.
