Mr Yoginder, an authorised representative of the company, took the consignment and sent the same to Jaipur through Mahipalpur office, but the consignee was shocked when he received bricks and stones instead of mobile phones. Mr Bhatia realising he has been cheated, lodged a police complaint. During a probe, it was revealed that the authorised representative was absconding.

After a detailed probe, it was known the accused may be hiding in old Delhi. A house-to-house search was conducted and finally Mr Yoginder was traced from Chandni Chowk. He led the police to co-accused Mr Suraj.
