PARDO BLASTS CHILE SQUAD

The wife of Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has hit out at the Chile squad after watching her husband fail to qualify for the World Cup.

Juan Antonio Pizzi’s men were thrashed 3-0 by Brazil, and despite entering the final round of matches in an automatic qualifying spot, slumped to sixth in the table after Argentina beat Ecuador and Peru scored late on to draw with Colombia.

Alexis Sanchez and Co. face criticism from Bravo’s wife Carla Pardo as she took to Instagram to shame some of his team-mates for their behaviour during the campaign.

She alluded to players prioritising partying over their World Cup hopes, and even claimed that some were missing training due to hangovers.

Pardo said: ‘Thank you, Captain America, for all that you have experienced. It was really beautiful.

‘But when they put on the shirt it has to be with professionalism. I know that most of them busted their asses, while others left parties and even did not train due to their hangovers.’

‘If the cap fits, put it on and stop crying. Because now it is a whole country that is crying. Here we wait for you with open arms my captain.’
