for a long time now. “There’s so much influence from my heritage in my music. To finally be back in India, where so many of my fans have lived for so long, and to give them a full tour, is really important and really special,” he says. Once KSHMR exploded on the international electronic music scene, he went on to associate with some of the biggest international producers.

And even as he performs all around the world, there is something about the country that keeps bringing him back. “I think the Indian crowd brings in excitement and a fresh outlook on dance music in general. But for me, it is especially like this because I feel so much warmth and love here because of my roots,” he says.

The DJ, opens up a bit about the set he will be performing in India. Saying that he is keen to include some new music in his set, Niles says, “Considering how it is my maiden solo tour in the country, the show is really special to me. So, I felt the need to create new exclusive material that I’m going to debut here!” With the country seeing some of the biggest pop stars performing just this year (Justin Bieber and The Chainsmokers), Niles is sure there will be bigger performers coming in soon. He believes this is because of the massive fan following these artistes have here. “Well I think even the biggest artistes have to respect the importance and sheer massiveness of India,” he says, adding that the world of music is closer now than ever because of the Internet. “There are fewer borders now thanks to the Internet, and its near limitless connectivity.”
