Parlour employee ‘raped’ by landlord

A beauty parlour employee has alleged that she was drugged and raped by a Noidabased houseowner in November 2015 when she was looking for a rented accommodat­ion, said the police on Monday.

Following her complaint, a case was registered at the Daryaganj police station in Delhi and later transferre­d to Noida, the scene of the alleged crime, said the Noida police.

The woman has claimed that she was looking accommodat­ion on rent and had in this regard gone to the Parthla village, where she fell ill.

She alleged that she was quite unwell and the owner of the house offered to take her to a hospital.

The women claimed that being unwell she decided to stay and next morning the man offered to take her to a Delhi hospital in his car.

The woman alleged that on the Greater Noida Expressway near Amity University, the man began misbehavin­g with her. When she objected to his advances, he put a piece of cloth on her face and she became unconsciou­s, the woman told the police officials.

According to officials, the woman claimed that on regaining consciousn­ess, she found herself in the Surajkund area of Haryana.

“The woman lodged an FIR at the Darya Ganj police station in Delhi. As the scene of crime was in Noida, the case was transferre­d here,” a police official said.

An FIR has been lodged at the Sector 39 police station and a manhunt has been launched for the accused, he said.
