Gang of thieves, including Ola driver, busted

The Delhi police busted a gang of thieves and arrested a Ola cab driver and his associates who used to dismantle tyres from newly bought high end cars.

The arrested Satender Kumar, 30, had a Wagon R car. His associates were S.K. Yadav, 32, and Mohit . While the former was a Uber cab in driver in Sector 63 Noida U., the latter ran a tyre puncture shop.

According to the police, on November 2, they received a tip off about two persons who were waiting at the Dharamshil­a Hospital for selling the stolen tyres.

The tip off was conveyed to a senior police officer and accordingl­y on the directions of ACP, Kalyan Puri, A.K. Mishra, a team was formed and a raid was conducted.

Mr Satender and Mr Yadav were apprehende­d near the Dharmashil­a Hospital on the instance of the secret informer and four tyres were recovered from the possession of both the apprehende­d persons.

same to one Mohit, resident of Sector 127 Bakhtar Pur, Noida. The police also arrested Mr Mohit and recovered one car tyre linked linked with the FIR no. 804/17.

Apart from two recovered tyres, a total of 21 other tyres have also been seized from the possession of the three accused persons out of which some tyres are linked with other two cases registered in New Ashok Nagar police station.

The police said that accused Shailesh was earlier involved in a case attrtarcti­ng sections of Excise Act at the New Ashok Nagar police station. Involvemen­ts of other accused persons are being searched.

According to the police, they are interrogat­ing the accused persons regarding the role of any other persons involved in the case.
