Police arrests contract killer in Dwarka

A contract killer, who dreamed to become big in Bollywood, came a cropper when he along with his two accomplices were caught red-handed on Thursday evening, while they had come to kill a businessman in Dwarka.

The arrested have been identified as Lokesh Chauhan alias Chunnu (21) and his associate Jai Singh (27) and Dharampal alias Pradeep (27). The trio had decided to come near Vardhaman Plaza, Matiala to meet each other.

The police said that based on a tip-off, they laid a trap and when the police surrounded the trio, Chauhan allegedly pointed a pistol at one of the constables, the police said. Chauhan, the prime accused, was overpowered and the trio were nabbed.

Chauhan was given a contract of `five lakh for killing a man in Dwarka. He, along with his associates, had planned to kill him and were out to execute the plan when they were nabbed by the police personnel yesterday, the policer said.
