Woman, 30, murdered, husband on the run

A 30- year- old woman was allegedly found dead at an under- contsruction building with her one- year- old child crying next to her in Rohini’s Sector 28 on Thursday morning.

Her husband, who is the prime suspect in the case, was found to be missing in the morning.

According to the police, the couple had gone to the under- construction building with their child on Wednesday night.

They asked the watchman of the building to give them shelter and some food for the night.

“The watchman of the building provided the couple some food and a tarpaulin to spend the night on the first floor, keeping in mind the cold and the fact that they had a child with them,” said a senior police officer.

Around 9.30 am in the morning, the watchman heard the cries of the child and reached the first floor to check upon them.

The watchman saw the little child crying next to its mother, who was not responding at all. Moreover, the husband was nowhere to be seen. The guard picked up the child and informed the police. A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

An investigation is going on to identify the deceased and the husband.

The police is probing the case from all angles. The police also added that the watchman is under the scanner as some discrepancy has been found in his statement as well.
