BJP using govs, L- Gs to run govts: Kejriwal

■ AAP may decide on 3 RS candidates in Jan.

New Delhi, Dec. 17: Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday alleged that the BJP was trying to run governments in Oppositionruled states, including Delhi, through governors and lieutenant governors ( LGs).

He alleged that governors and LGs were issuing directions bypassing elected governments.

“The BJP is trying to run governments in oppositionruled states through governors and LGs. They call meetings of officers and issue directions bypassing elected governments,” he tweeted.

The AAP government’s tenure has been marked by a tug of war with the NDA government at the Centre and the Delhi LGs over administrative jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, the AAP is likely to decide on its candidates for the three Rajya Sabha seats in Delhi by January first week, a party leader has said.

Though there are many aspirants within in the AAP for the three seats that go to polls in midJanuary, but the party is looking for outside faces.

Party leader Kumar Vishwas, who has been at odds with the leadership for sometime now, was considered as one of strongest contenders.

However, given his equation with Mr Kejriwal, chances of the party sending him to the Upper House are pretty slim.

Party leaders Ashutosh and Sanjay Singh are other candidates for the Rajya Sabha if the party so wishes to field them.

With a brute majority in the 70- member Assembly, getting three AAP members elected to the Upper House is a given.

The tenures of present Janardan Dwivedi, Parvez Hashmi, Karan Singh Rajya Sabha MPs will end in January. the
