Infocus makes the 18: 9 display affordable

InFocus has announced its new Vision series for the Indian market. Vision 3 is the company’s first smartphone in the series, priced at ` 6,999 and is the cheapest smartphone to feature an 18: 9 display and dual camera setup. The 4G VoLTE- enabled smartphone will go on sale exclusivel­y via Amazon India from 12 am starting December 20.

The Vision 3’ s is touted to come with Dualfie feature which is similar to Nokia’s Bothie feature, which captures a picture with both the cameras simultaneo­usly in the form of PIP mode. The new smartphone also features a 1- key shortcut option for select apps. The company says face recognitio­n technology will also be added to the smartphone in January 2018.

The Infocus Vision 3 sports a 5.7- inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels with a protection of 2.5D curved glass. The Vision 3 is powered by quad- core MediaTek MT6735 chipset clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB o n - b o a r d storage which is expandable up to 64GB. The dualSIM handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s Smile UX skin atop. The InFocus Vision 3 features dual rear cameras with a 13MP primary camera and 5MP secondary camera with 120- degree wideangle lens. The smartphone sports an 8MP front shooter with beautifica­tion mode and portrait mode that does have bokeh effect. On the connectivi­ty front, the handset includes 4G VoLTE, Wi- Fi, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm jack. The Vision 3 draws its power from 4000mAh lithium- ion battery. It also bears a fingerprin­t scanner on the rear panel.
