JESUS NUTMEGS HIS MOTHER

Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus may be making mincemeat of Premier League defenders this season, but he still felt the need to prove his skills against a lesser opponent: his own mother.

The Brazilian has enjoyed a stellar first year under Pep Guardiola and has scored eight goals in the Premier League so far this season. But although he has proved his footballing ability on the pitch, he wanted to do the same at home as well.

Jesus uploaded a video of his mother trying to dispossess him of a fun- size football at their Manchester home, but she was no match for his quick feet and was nutmegged no less than three times in the space of a minute.

Only once did she manage to get the ball off of him but only after, we suspect, her young son decided to give her a bit of a break. She quickly lost it again, however, and the nutmegging resumed.

Brazil fans a glimpse into their star striker’s life at home and the player himself has happily admitted in the past that his mother means ‘ everything’ to him.

Jesus, who moved to the Etihad in January, said his first few months in the city were very tough, mainly because his mum had not fully moved to England with him and revealed his phone celebration is a tribute to her.
