Bollywood stars lead jet- setting lives and, not surprisingly, own multiple properties and homes in India and across the globe. The latest entrant on the property- buying spree is Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, who is apparently scouting out homes in everybody’s favourite destination, Dubai.

Says a source from Dubai, “Ekta is looking out for a high- end property like a villa. She and her mother Shobha Kapoor have already submitted their requirements for buying a property in Dubai, along with a special demand that it must have a waterfront.” The source adds, “The submission of their requirements is just the first step in the process. The concerned real estate agency, which received their papers in November 2017, has started reviewing their requirements.”

Now all that’s left is for the mother- daughter duo to pick out the house of their dreams personally. “The first Akshay Kumar was in the news just a few days ago for having acquired four flats in a luxurious 38- storey building situated in Lokhandwala, Andheri ( W).

Of course, this is not the first property that Akshay has decided to invest in. He lives with his family in a sea- facing duplex on Juhu Beach. step has been completed. After the second step is fulfilled, Ekta and Shobha Kapoor will probably personally visit all the properties short- listed by the real estate agency. If all goes well, Ekta may be the next biggie from the world of glitz and glamour to join other

Interestingly, not many know that the actor holds Canadian citizenship too, and possesses a beautiful bungalow in Toronto. The actor and his wife Twinkle Khanna also own a couple of apartments and a bungalow on the Mauritius beachfront from where both of them have previously posted their photographs.

Shah Rukh Khan bought an apartment in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah in 2007 and also owns another apartment in Central London’s posh Park Lane where he and his family love to stay.

Amitabh Bachchan owns at least five houses in Mumbai which include some huge bungalows. Big B also has a home in Paris, reportedly gifted to him by his wife Jaya Bachchan. Rumour has it that he even owns a house in Palm Jumeirah, which was gifted to him for endorsing the project.

Meanwhile, actor couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Khan have bought themselves a Chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland, while John Abraham owns a home in the exclusive Bel Air area of Los Angeles in the USA.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra was reportedly gifted an apartment in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, while she and her husband Raj Kundra also own a property in Mayfair, Oxford Street, in London. Rakul Preet Singh is all set for a relaunch in Bollywood. After Yaariyan went unnoticed, she’s all set to make another attempt at a career in Hindi movies, with Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary. However, one gets a mere glimpse of Rakul in the film’s trailer. Reacting to her scarce presence, Rakul says, “I’m sure the Aiyaary team has a strategy. To be honest, I took Aiyaary for the sheer pleasure of working with talents like Neeraj Pandey and Manoj Bajpai. Every actor is an important character in a Neeraj Pandey film.”

She goes on to cite that while M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story was a story on the cricketer, she says, “The women, his family, coach were important. I don’t know how my role has shaped up in Aiyaary, but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.” Rakul was disappointed when her efforts at being relaunched last year came to naught. “I did a film, Shimla Mirch, with Rajkummar Rao. It was supposed to be director Ramesh Sippy’s comeback film. The film got stuck due to some internal problems. It’s not as if I am pining to do Hindi films, per se. For me, films in any language is important.”
