Lenovo announces new Chromebook­s, ThinkPad laptops

Lenovo has announced new Chrome and Windows laptops, which have been specially designed to cater to educationa­l needs. This new range from the company is primarily designed for classrooms, and it includes three new Chromebook laptops and two ThinkPad laptops.

The Lenovo 100e Chromebook is priced at ` 14,000 ($ 219), is powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 processor and comes with an 11.6- inch HD antiglare display. This device is also available with Windows 10 and Google’s Chrome OS. While the device with Windows will be available sometime in this month, the ones which support

C h r o m e Operating systems will only become available by around March 2018.

The Lenovo 300e Chromebook costs ` 18,000 ($ 279) and is powered by MediaTek 8173C ARM processor. The 11.6- inch body is available with Windows 10 or Google’s Chrome OS. The model also features Intel Apollo Lake processors. It is already available for Windows and Chrome OS will be available in February this year.

The Lenovo 500e Chromebook ( around ` 22,000) sports an Intel Celeron quad- core N3450 processor and with an 11.6- inch HD IPS display, the Lenovo 500e Chromebook also has a multi- mode form- factor and 5MP world- facing camera sensor.

Lastly, the ThinkPad 11e and ThinkPad 11e Yoga ( priced around ` 27,400, i. e., $ 429 and ` 32,000, i. e., $ 499 approximat­ely) boast of an 11.6- inch HD IPS display and are powered by the latest Intel N s e r i e s processors. The brand

c l a i m s that these are ‘ thinner and lighter’ than their earlier versionsan­d will be available February 2018.
