SEXUAL BOREDOM CAN KILL THRILL
I am a recently married 26- year- old woman. I bled heavily during my first intercourse. I had no pain and the bleeding did not last long but I am afraid now. Why did this happen? This didn’t happen due to my hymen breaking. What should I do? Please advise.
Why do you say that the bleeding is not due to the rupture of hymen? Either a little left over menstrual blood ( if you had the intercourse immediately after your periods) or a minor bruise or abrasion might be the cause of bleeding. As long as you don’t have pain, irritation and itching, just ignore it. If you are highly concerned, then get yourself examined by a gynaecologist.
I am a 51- year- old man and I have Type 2 diabetes for some years. I realised that my sex drive has been affected by this. I believe that I need treatment. Can you advise me?
Your loss of appetite for sex may be due to any one or a combination of the following factors: You may be experiencing a condition known as ‘ andropause’, as you are 50 plus. In this condition, there is a gradual decrease in testosterone production.
Long standing Diabetes can damage and produce ‘ Diabetic Testes’. This can result in decreased production of testosterone and add to Andropause. Chronic illnesses like diabetes can be debilitating and can affect sex drive. Apart from these, if your partner is not active in bed, the sex drive may not be whetted. Sexual boredom and monotonous sex regimen can also rob the thrill.
What you need is a comprehensive evaluation ( of physical, causative factors, sexual routine, relationship issues). Management of your problem depends on the assessment. Seek the help of a competent sexologist.
