AAP plans Vikas Yatras on Feb. 14

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

As the Aam Aadmi Party government completes three years in power in Delhi on February 14, the party will organise ‘ Vikas Yatras’ in every Assembly constituency to make public aware of the pro- people activities done by the government so far.

All party MLAs, ministers and functionaries will meet Delhiites and share details of all the good work done in the past three years.

Claiming that the AAP was the only party in India to have delivered 90 per cent of its promises made in the election manifesto, its Delhi convenor Gopal Rai said it was launching a drive to share the government’s accomplishments on February 11.

“In each of the 70 Assembly seats, the party will conduct a ‘ Vikas Yatra’, which will be led by the party MLAs, ministers and senior leaders. The aim was to establish a dialogue with the citizens,” he added.

He said that in the second phase, the party functionaries, especially ‘ booth in- charges’ will meet the citizens and will share all the work done by the Delhi government.

“They will also take the feedback of the citizens and convey the same to the government,” Mr Rai said.

“You maybe aware that there are many state governments run by both the BJP and the Congress, but there is not a single state that can show even a fraction of the work done by the AAP government in Delhi.

Despite facing many hindrances and ‘ deliberate’ hurdles, the government has kept its focus on delivering the manifesto promises. We have delivered almost on all the commitments made in our manifesto,” Mr Rai said.
