A sensational kidnapping case of a sevenyearold boy was solved with the arrest of a woman and her aide.

According to police, acting on a tip- off from a member of the Eyes and Ear scheme, a team from the Lodhi Colony police station arrested a female kidnapper, Radha, and her aide, Bhajan Singh.

Police said that the boy’s missing report was registered on February 9 by Balram Gautam, uncle of the victim. In view of the gravity of the case, a team under supervision of ACP B. S. Rana was constituted to trace the kidnapped boy.

The police team immediately swung into action and started gathering human and technical information in the case. While checking the CCTV footage of Sai Baba Mandir, a lady was seen carrying the boy in her lap.

Probe reveals that while a search was going on, a woman from the eyes and ear scheme informed the police that she had seen a lady carrying the child. She also informed that a man was with that woman.

Based on her instance, the woman asked ASI Vijay to come to Sai Baba Mandir on Saturday. When the team reached there, the woman informed them that she had seen the same man with the woman who had kidnapped the boy.

The police arrested the Singh, who initially denied having knowledge of the kidnapping. After sustained interrogation, he admitted his involvement in the kidnapping and informed the boy had been taken away by his sister- in- law, Radha. He also informed that the boy was in their jhuggi near Jangpura Metro Station.

The police team immediately raided the jhuggi and rescued the boy.
