King may direct Willy Wonka reboot

Los Angeles: Paddington director Paul King is in negotiatio­ns to helm a reboot of Willy Wonka. The project is being produced by David Heyman, which is based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Variety reported. Simon Rich has written the new script. The plot focuses on the book published in 1964, which revolves around an 11- yearold Charlie Bucket and the eccentric chocolatie­r, Willy Wonka, who decides to reopen his factory. He allows five children to come on a tour of the factory after they find a golden ticket in a Wonka Bar.
