CBI likely to examine relatives of minister

The CBI, which recently recovered property documents and bank deposit slips of about ` 2 crore allegedly linked to health minister Satyendar Jain, is once again preparing to examine his family members as part of its investigat­ion into the alleged disproport­ionate assets case against him.

Sources said, “The agency will soon seek fresh clarificat­ions from the family members of the Delhi minister following the recent recovery of certain evidence allegedly linked to Mr Jain”. They were examined earlier also by the CBI in the same case. The agency recovered four hard discs and three laptops, allegedly belonging to Jain, from the premises of Delhi Medical Council president Arun Gupta.
