RUSSIAN CURLER MELTING THE ICE

Gorgeous Russian curler Anastasia Bryzgalova, 25, has set pulses racing not just at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang but all around the world watching on television, who have been impressed not only by her prowess on the ice but her piercing stare, which makes her look like ‘ she can burn holes in the sheet with her eyes’, says the Daily Mail.

The athlete married her curling partner Alexander Krushelnitskiy in June 2017 and the couple enjoyed a sun soaked honeymoon in Spain. The pair won the 2016 world mixed doubles curling championship in Karlstad, Sweden.

Anastasia took up the sport in 2009 after being attracted by an advertisement for a curling club at an ice sports complex and has a master’s degree from the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health, the Mail said.

Bryzgalova has set Twitter on fire with her stunning good looks and soul- piercing eyes and she enjoys a massive following on other social media platforms too.

The Sun adds, Bryzgalova, who won the bronze in Pyeongchang, hit out after being quizzed about her new- found fame.

Following the attention she received on social media, Bryzgalova replied: “Yes, it’s very pleasant ( to receive compliments).

“But medals are not given for beauty.” One user claimed: “I don’t really understand curling but Anastasia Bryzgalova has made me a fan.”

Another added: “Didn’t care about # WinterOlympics never mind # curling till today. Here’s why # Anastasiabryzgalova Damn!!!”
