HTC INTRODUCES NEW VIVE ( BE) VR HEADSET IN INDIA

HTC has launched a new Vive Business Edition ( BE) virtual reality headset in India, to cater to the industry audience that has virtual reality applicatio­ns in the commercial environmen­t. Alongside the full Vive VR system, Vive Business Edition comes with commercial licensing and a bulk of purchasing option in India.

The company says that Vive is the only end– to– end VR platform capable of delivering room– scale technology, with the feature being readily adapted for use in the commercial space.

The HTC Vive boast a 3.6– inch dual– AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160x1200 pixels. It comes with lens distance adjustment features and has a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, 110– degree Field of View ( FoV). As for the connectivi­ty, the headset includes Bluetooth, Micro– USB ( Vive controller), HDMI, USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include G– sensor, SteamVR tracking, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

The package includes the VIVE BE headset, two controller­s, two base stations, four face cushions, and a VIVE BE 3– in– 1 cable. There is also a 12– month limited warranty on purchase of the HTC Vive Business Edition in India. The headset costs around

1,26,990 and will be available for purchase on Amazon and Imol.

The company unveiled the Vive Pro headset and wireless Vive Adaptor at CES 2018. As of now, the pricing and availabili­ty details of the new headset is not revealed.
