Lucknow: An 18- year- old dalit girl was burnt alive at Bara Sagwar village of UP’s Unnao district on Thursday night. The charred body of the girl, identified as Moni, was found on Friday.

IG Sujit Kumar Pandey rushed to the crime scene around Thursday midnight and spoke to the victim’s family that has ruled out any enmity in the matter.
SP Pushpanjali said that several persons had been detained for interrogation in the matter. A case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons while the body has been sent for postmortem.
