Yogi: Will break those who try to break India

- AMITA VERMA

UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday seemed unduly aggressive in the state Assembly when he warned the Opposition that he would “break those who attempt to break the nation.”

“Bharat akhand tha aur rahega. Usko todne wale ko hum tod denge”, the chief minister said in the assembly while BJP members raised slogans Bharat Mata ki Jai to support the chief minister.

The chief minister further said that that the BJP had removed the red flag in Tripura and would now drown the ‘ lal topi’ ( Samajwadi cap) in UP. “The Samajwadi Party is so desperate that it is now sitting in the lap of the BSP,” he said.

This led to uproarious scenes in the state Assembly and an intervention

by the leader of opposition which was not allowed by the Speaker.

The chief minister said that the opposition was unable to even accept the good aspects of anything. “We have tried to bring changes in the past one year but the opposition does not wish to see this. I pray to God to give good sense to these people”, he said. The chief minister

said that democracy runs with dignity and throwing paper balls at the governor is not a part of civilised society.

“This reflects that character of those who claim to be democratic,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath went on to say that the Samajwadi Party indulges in divisive politics which creates an atmosphere of fear in the state.
