AAP ‘ instigating’ protests over SSC row: Tiwari

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday charged the AAP with “misleading” SSC aspirants and “instigating” them to continue their protest even after their demand for a CBI enquiry into an alleged paper leak was met.

Mr Tiwari said that for the last one week the people of the country and national capital have seen examples of good governance of the Central government owing to the sensitivity and prompt action in the SSC case. On the other hand, due to its confrontation with the chief secretary and the officers, the bad governance of Arvind Kejriwal government has been proved beyond doubt once again.

According to Mr Tiwari, when the country was celebrating Holi on March 2, he met the agitating SSC candidates and understood their grievances.

On March 5, Union home minister Rajnath Singh categorically order- ed a CBI inquiry into all the SSC exams held between February 17 and 22. However, some political leaders in Delhi are trying to take political advantage of the case by misleading the young candidates, which is condemnable.

“The people of Delhi and the country have seen how the Union government and BJP took immediate cognisance of the complaints of the candidates in the case of SSC exam. It talked to them, understood their problems and accepted their demand for a CBI inquiry. Similarly, whenever any dispute has arisen during the last 4 years, the Union government has ordered a high level inquiry,” said Mr Tiwari.

He claimed that consequently most of the candidates were satisfied and decided to end the “dharna”. However, it is regrettable that some opportunist political parties were trying to mislead the candidates and instigated them to continue the dharna.
