Redmorph review: When privacy is top- most priority

- AMRITANSHU MUKHERJEE

The app catches real- time trackers through various sources and offers users to exercise control over them. ◗ The app is free to download on a trial period on Android for 21 days.

With OS developers such as Google and Apple doing their best to keep users safe from hackers with malicious intentions, their efforts often take time to reach the end user, unfortunately exposing them to unknown risks. Therefore, thirdparty apps, such as Redmorph’s The Ultimate Privacy Solution app, is needed to do the job on an immediate basis.

The app catches realtime trackers through various sources and offers users to exercise control over them. The app is free to download for Android but grants its services for free only for 21 days, post which one needs to pay ` 50 per month to continue its services.

To keep the user anonymous from all the tracking elements, the app automatically channels the mobile data and Wi- Fi connections through a built- in VPN. The Sentinel features work effectively in notifying of any anomaly observed by the app. The active tracking algorithms block unwanted pop- ups and malicious websites while browsing, which makes surfing the Internet a pleasant experience. There’s Live View tab shows the status of the running apps in realtime; you can also check out all the trackers in a web- like illustration.

Protection, however, does come at a cost — it has a huge impact on the device’s performance — we experienced slower Internet speeds along with a noticeable strain on the battery life and overall performance —

thanks to the background running app that monitors all unwanted activities to protect you.

While most apps and services these days need to rely on trackers to generate revenue, this creates an issue with Redmorph. The moment you block access to an app using Redmorph, those apps start performing erratically, constantly asking the user to grant access to the internet or other relevant sensors. The app needs the respective sensors/ services to perform properly and Redmorph could get in the way.

On the whole, the Redmorph Privacy Solution app will probably only appeal to those are extremely bothered by the threats of the Internet tracking each and every activity on a smartphone. If keeping a tab on all the incoming and outgoing traffic on your device is your priority, then Redmorph’s Privacy Solution app is recommendable.
