WANTED: A SUPERHERO SUIT FOR RANBIR

- SUBHASH K. JHA

Ranbir Kapoor will be donning a superhero look in his buddy Ayan Mukerjee’s Bramhashastra. The costume is what’s troubling the actor, director and producer Karan Johar.

A source close to the project reveals huge amounts of brainstorming about the kind of superhero suit that Ranbir will be donning for the role. “They don’t want the routine cape- and- mask look for his role. But how does one go about finding this sartorial uniqueness for the superhero?”

Apparently several looks have already been tried and discarded. Ranbir’s friend says, “He doesn’t want to end up looking like another Krissh.” Ranveer may have a chocablock but the actor takes respite in small joys — like a free Sunday. “On Sunday, I sleep for 14 hours. I am working in the nights for Gully Boy. The shooting is going on dhada- dhad,” says Ranveer Singh. The actor will later begin working with Rohit Shetty in Simmba. He adds, “After I wrap Gully Boy in April, I will be working with Rohit sir for the first time in a feature film.” The director’s actor had previously come together to shoot an ad for a brand of noodles.

The actor, who recently played the intense brooding king in Padmaavat, is looking forward to experiment with the masala genre. “It’s a big one for me — I think a lot of people are excited more than me about this collaboration. I love the kind of masala film he makes and I genuinely believe that I was born to do such films,” he explains.

Basking in the glory of his past hit Padmaavat, fame has been following him, but he doesn’t take “Fame is a wonderful thin it was never the one th attracted to. I am in lov craft. I just want to be th that I could possibly be. fame will come with it wonderful,” he exults.
