- AGE CORRESPONDENT

Saroj Sahoo, a youth hailing from Rangiagada village in Odisha’s Paradip, has set an example by getting married to a transgender, Kinnar Mama of Ramachandipada in Jagatsinghpur district.

The marriage was solemnised on Sunday night amid cheerful celebrations with people belonging to the Third Gender ( TG) community also taking part along with the locals.

The transgender association of Paradip had made all arrangements for the wedding.

According to sources, Saroj and Mama started their friendship on Facebook and later fell in love with each other after a few months.

After three years, the couple tied the knot as per Hindu rituals at a temple in Paradip Gada.

“We came in touch with each other through Facebook and later met at Paradip beach after a few months,” said Kinnar Mama.
