2 KILLED IN MISHAP ON YAMUNA E- WAY

Mathura ( UP), March 13: Two persons were killed when an ambulance collided head- on with a stationary tractor- trolley on Yamuna expressway in the early hours, police said on Tuesday. There were no patients in the ambulance. “The accident occurred at around 5 am when a Noidabound ambulance, coming from Agra, rammed into a stationary tractor- trolley from behind,” station house officer ( SHO) Naujhil and Inspector Durgesh Kumar said. The trolley, containing electric poles, was parked on the expressway, as its driver had gone to a wayside dhaba to have breakfast, he said. The deceased from the ambulance have been identified as Dharmendra, 34, and Aditya Seth, 32 , both residents of Kannauj district. The bodies have been sent for postmortem, the SHO said, adding that the ambulance, bearing a Haryana registrati­on number, belongs to Pradeep Kumar of Delhi.
