Rashford gifts MoM award to mother

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford gave his Man of the Match trophy to his mother as a Mother’s Day gift.

The 20- year- old starred against Liverpool and took to Instagram to show off the Man of the Match award from English football’s biggest fixture, before handing it over to his mother as a gesture of affection, reports the Daily Mail.

Sharing an image of himself and his mother, Melanie, holding the Premier League award, Rashford wrote: ‘ Thank you for all you do. Happy Mother’s Day Mum, perfect present!’

In the heated clash at Old Trafford, Rashford scored twice within the opening 25 minutes.

Rashford hadn’t scored for United prior to the game since December, but was trusted by manager Jose Mourinho to form part of a front-three trident with Rome lu Luka ku and Alexis Sanchez.
